We strongly recommend setting up and using a service account with administrator privileges (e.g. ketryx@yourcompany.com) to connect Ketryx with any other systems. This is because the API for most platforms we integrate with (Jama, Polarion, TestRail, Github, etx) will recognize the actions that Ketryx takes as the user that configured the Ketryx connection to that system. This matters most if the configuring account loses access to the integrated system. If the account that configured the connection is a specific person, instead of a service account, whenever that person moves on from their system admin role and their account loses access, Ketryx will lose access as well. No data will be lost, but syncing between the two systems will stop for all users until the connection is re-established with API credentials from a user with sufficient permissions.
