If you are looking at your Xray test in Ketryx and the “Steps” field is not populating or not updating there is a high probability that there is an issue with your Xray API key, and it is preventing a sync with Ketryx. To fix this issue, follow these steps:
- Optional: set "Steps" and "Xray data" as Uncontrolled field items at the organization or project level. Use of the uncontrolled field names advanced setting supports updating of fields without impacting items in a controlled state. This configuration should be removed at the end of the FAQ if utilized.
- Go to Jira, then Xray > API Keys
- Create an API Key. Save the Client ID/Secret to a secure location that you can reference like 1Password
- Go to Ketryx Connections at the organizational level
- Delete the existing Client ID and Client Secret of the old API key
- Replace the Client ID and Client Secret with the new API key information that you created in step 3.
- Save changes in the Ketryx Connections page
- From superuser mode, go into the projects that are affected by the API connection to Xray and go into Internal Configuration
- Perform a full sync with Jira
- Verify that Xray steps have synced in Ketryx in your affected projects
