Yes, system-level controls in Ketryx do apply to custom item types as they behave in the same way as default item types, including being subject to configurable approval rules, required fields, and other configuration item controls. It’s important to note that by default, custom item types do not have approval groups assigned, so you must configure these as needed in your project settings. See the following for additional resources on Custom Item Types, Global item configuration, and Computational Controls.

Note: You can define system-level controls for custom item types globally (organization-level) or tailor them for individual projects as needed. Projects will inherit organization-level settings unless overridden at the project level. For more information, see this Advanced Settings reference and FAQ regarding applying configured Ketryx settings globally.
