When creating Test Executions from Test Cases in Ketryx (either through the Test Management page or via the Jira traceability widget), only specific system fields are automatically copied over.
Fields that automatically copy:
- Description
- Steps
- Expected behavior
- Attachments
Fields that do NOT automatically copy:
- Custom fields (including custom rich text fields, dropdowns, text fields, etc.)
- Custom properties added to work item types
- Any other non-system fields
This behavior is consistent across both creation methods:
- Creating Test Executions through Ketryx Test Management
- Creating Test Executions via the Jira traceability widget
Workaround for custom fields:
If you need custom field content from your Test Cases to appear in your Test Executions, you will need to manually copy this information after the Test Execution is created.
